FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

ORDERING & PRODUCTS

Q: Are you an authorized Mirador dealer?

A: Yes — we are an authorized Mirador Outdoor dealer. Every pergola we sell is a genuine Mirador product backed by the full manufacturer warranty.

Q: Which pergola size is right for me?

A: A good rule of thumb: measure your patio or deck and subtract 1–2 feet on each side to allow for posts. A 10x13 comfortably covers a dining table for 6. A 10x10 is ideal for a lounge setting or smaller patio. A 10x20 suits large decks and pool areas. Not sure? Contact us with your measurements and we'll recommend the right fit.

Q: What's the difference between the 111S and 111A models?

A: The 111S has a full aluminum frame — more durable, longer lifespan, and comes with a 5-year warranty. The 111A uses an aluminum-steel hybrid frame at a slightly lower price with a 4-year warranty. For most buyers we recommend the 111S.

Q: What is the Takasho finish?

A: Takasho is Mirador's wood-grain powder coat finish — it looks and feels like real wood but is applied to a full aluminum frame. You get the aesthetic of wood with zero maintenance. No rotting, staining, or repainting ever.

Q: Can I add accessories like screens or lighting later?

A: Yes. The 111S and 111S Takasho models are compatible with Mirador's full accessory range including retractable screens, sliding glass doors, and LED strip lighting. These can be added any time after installation.

SHIPPING & DELIVERY

Q: How long does delivery take?

A: Most orders ship within 5–10 business days. Total delivery time is typically 2–4 weeks depending on your location. A freight agent will call you to schedule a delivery window.

Q: Do you ship to Canada?

A: Currently we ship to the contiguous United States (lower 48 states) only.

Q: What is curbside delivery?

A: Freight carriers deliver to your curb or driveway. You'll need to move the pallet from there to your yard. If you need inside delivery or white-glove setup, contact us and we can explore options.

Q: What if my order arrives damaged?

A: Photograph any damage before or immediately after accepting delivery and contact us within 24 hours at [your email]. We will arrange a replacement or resolution promptly.

INSTALLATION & PERMITS

Q: Do I need a building permit?

A: In most cases no permit is required for a freestanding pergola. However, rules vary by municipality. We recommend checking with your local building department before ordering. We can provide spec sheets if required.

Q: How hard is it to assemble?

A: Two people can assemble a Mirador pergola in approximately 4 hours using basic tools. Every kit comes pre-cut, pre-drilled, with numbered hardware bags and a full illustrated manual. Installation videos are also available.

Q: Can I hire someone to install it?

A: Yes. Contact us after ordering and we can help connect you with a certified installer in your area.

Q: Can the pergola be attached to my house?

A: Mirador pergolas are designed as freestanding structures. If you want to attach to your home, contact us to discuss your specific situation before ordering.

WARRANTY & RETURNS

Q: What does the warranty cover?

A: Mirador warrants all products against defects in materials and workmanship. The 111S series carries a 5-year warranty. Warranty claims are handled through us — contact [your email] and we'll coordinate with Mirador on your behalf.

Q: Can I return my pergola?

A: Yes — within 30 days of delivery if unused and unassembled in original packaging. Return freight costs are the buyer's responsibility. See our full Returns Policy for details.
